Earl Talbot has been a drum set artist/ clinician at Lawrence University Conservatory of Music where his master class and individual lessons were truly an inspiration for my students.
His knowledge and grasp of performance techniques of popular West African drum set styles are rare to come by in the U.S.
He opened up a whole new world of groove possibilities for my students and me, while demonstrating ways to practice in how to achieve learning these DEEP POCKET RHYTHMS.
Thank you, Earl!
Dane Richeson
Professor of Music and Director of Percussion Studies at Lawrence University
Earl displays genuine faith, compassion, and dedication towards his students and their abilities to create music. Through my own learning experience, his teaching has helped me mature as a drummer as well as a music lover.
Earl's guidance has opened up my mind and body for an honest understanding and appreciation of rhythm and feel, something that will live with me forever. Sharing his knowledge and wisdom has allowed myself to open up clearer communication channels on a musical level with the bands I record, which has ultimately helped me become a better producer.
I'm lucky to have Earl in my life and happy that he has become one of my closest friends.

Producer
Earl has a fluidity as a musician that cant help but inspire others. Be it rock and jazz or the poly-rhythms of Cameroon, Talbot is capable of most anything percussive.
His real talent, however, is his inexhaustible patience and enthusiasm for music. Any student of his is lucky.

Musician / Producer
Earl Talbot is a wonderfully patient, enthusiastic, and supportive percussion teacher who is sincerely interested in his students lives beyond drumming. He is an accomplished and award-winning percussionist who has traveled the globe to develop his skill and knowledge; yet Earl still has the humility and larger-than-life personality to relate beautifully with our middle school son.
During the lessons, Earl is fully engaged and appears to be having at least as much fun as our son is. With real-world success in marketing many of his original pieces, Earl guides our son in creating, recording, and evaluating his own music utilizing technology-a must for any student who considers incorporating music into some aspect of his career.
We are very grateful to have this amazing role model in our young sons life.
Sincerely,

I have been playing drums for many years and have had several drum teachers.
Never has any one instructor influenced my playing like Earl!
My rhythmic pulse and fluidity around the kit has improved more than I would have ever imaged.
Thank You Earl!
